Ron became a Christian at the age of 5, through the ministry of a Child Evangelism class taught by his mother. His interest in missions began when he started taking short-term trips to Mexico, Bolivia and Peru with his youth pastor. Over the years, he has both led and participated in many short- term mission trips.

Ron attended San Diego State College where he earned a B.A. in Industrial Arts and a secondary teaching credential. He was the facilities manager of Emerald Cove Christian Camp for over 20 years.

Even though Margie was raised in a Christian home, she didn"t take her faith seriously until age 20. In 1973, she graduated from Cal State San Bernardino with a B.A. in Social Science, and later earned an elementary teaching credential. She was involved in Christian camping at Emerald Cove, and also taught in the public school system.

Margie and Ron met the summer of 1970, while working at Forest Home Christian Conference Center in Forest Falls, California. They were married two years later.

The Grants have two sons. Josh works for Horizon Christian Fellowship, and lives in Carlsbad, California with his wife Krista and son Ian. Kabe is currently a whitewater rafting guide in Denali National Park in Alaska.

Ron and Margie thank God for this exciting chapter of their lives, and the opportunity to use their gifts and skills as part of the MAF family.
