Bio

Joey and Suzanne Lincoln are missionaries with Mission Aviation Fellowship assigned to Africa as a pilot/mechanic. Their inspiration to follow God comes from Ecclesiastes 12:13, "Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man,” as they seek to fulfill this duty in whatever capacity God calls them to serve.

Joey was born in Chicago, IL, but spent most of his childhood in Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly Zaire) and Uganda, where his parents are missionaries with MAF.

Growing up in a Christian home, Joey came to accept Christ at an early age. In a missionary environment he saw first-hand the needs around him and felt the call to do what he could to serve them. And, surrounded by MAF he also developed a passion for aviation. After high school he attended LeTourneau University in Longview, TX, where he studied Aeronautical Science, Engineering, and Bible, earning his A&P license and multiple flight ratings (SEL, MEL, CFI, CFII, MEI).

Suzanne was born in St. Charles, IL, though most of her youth was also spent in Africa where her parents were missionaries with Africa Inland Mission in Kenya. Through the influence of her Christian parents and teachers, she came to know the Lord during elementary school. She attended Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL, studying Elementary Education with a Psychology concentration. After graduating she spent three years teaching in inner city schools in Chicago, though all the while having a strong desire to return to the mission field. Suzanne and Joey grew up knowing each other as family friends, but it wasn’t until Joey graduated from college that they found a renewed friendship and were excited to discover that, not only was God calling them both to serve in missions, but He was calling them to serve together. They were married in 2004.

Joey shares that the Lord has blessed him with technical skills and that he now wants to use them for the glory of God according to Colossians 3:23, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.” Joey will be able to do this by providing aviation services to the local church and their national pastors, as well as to missionaries in parts of the world where their work would not be possible without the airplane.

As Suzanne looks ahead to the challenging work they will be facing, she is encouraged by II Corinthians 15:7, “But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” She hopes to be able to serve in whatever capacity necessary for the needs they encounter. She looks forward to using her education experience to work with local children and teachers.

To fund the worldwide ministry of MAF, God is faithful in providing loyal, generous ministry support from His most caring people. He has called the men and women of MAF to serve Him in a unique way. He is also calling people like you around the world to play a special role in the ministry of MAF.

You are invited to become a ministry partner with Joey and Suzanne in this strategic ministry. Please prayerfully consider involvement with them through prayer and/or financial support.
