We are one of three pilot/mechanic families serving the river people of Central Kalimantan using two Cessna 185 floatplanes. Continue reading...River life is always challenging and interesting, but the floatplane is the right tool to meet the needs here. If the river is deep enough, wide enough, and long enough, we can land there. As a pilot/mechanic, my job is to work with the other two pilots in fulfilling flight requests and performing the maintenance on our aircraft. We do a lot of medical flights, bringing patients out of the interior to hospitals here in town. We transport national pastors between villages and carry goods interior for pastors and their families stationed far interior. There are many dark places in Central Kalimantan, and it is our privalege to serve these difficult places bringing the hope and truth of the Gospel to a hurt and lost people. Robyn is currently pregnant with our first child and we look forward to the baby's arrival September 19. Robyn also keeps busy keeping our house flowing smoothly. Everything just takes longer here from laundry, to cooking, to shopping. Robyn has also been able to use her education degree tutoring missionary kids in town. Mission life brings many challenges and stresses, but our God is faithful, so we cling toProverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” Collapse Bio SectionPhoto GalleryClick on each thumbnail to view the full-size photo.
