MAF missionaries raise support for a pooled fund out of which MAF covers salary, housing, benefits, and staff-related ministry expenses. MAF exercises discretion over the use of missionary support to carry out its mission and care for its staff.
Kevin and Rachel Brandt are excited to begin their journey serving the Lord in partnership with Mission Aviation Fellowship. As a pilot, Kevin looks forward to opportunities to further advance the gospel by delivering needed supplies to isolated people, providing life-saving medical flights, and serving where needed. Rachel is excited to continue her role as mom to their son Eli and looks forward to getting involved in the local community where they are serving.
Kevin was born in Stockton, CA, where he came to know the Lord in high school after a life-threatening accident. After leaving the hospital, he felt incredibly lost and in searching for answers, began attending a local church where he felt the transformational love and acceptance of Jesus. This transformation led him to get involved in serving locally as well as on short-term mission trips to Mexico. It was after his first mission trip that Kevin felt the calling to pursue missions full time. This led him to study mission aviation at San Diego Christian College where he graduated in 2015.
Born in Portland, Oregon, Rachel was impacted by her parents living out their faith and decided to follow Christ at a young age. Growing up, she loved to learn about believers who were sharing their faith around the world and became drawn to missions. In high school and college, Rachel had the opportunity to serve on short-term mission trips throughout the U.S, Mexico, Ecuador, Thailand and Southeast Asia. In 2015, Rachel graduated from San Diego Christian College with a degree in missionary aviation flight technology. Kevin and Rachel met while attending San Diego Christian College. A friendship formed after serving together on several short-term mission trips. They began dating their junior year of college and married shortly after graduating in 2015. In 2019 they welcomed their son, Eli.
The Brandts are thankful for God’s provision and guidance as they continue to step out in faith and serve with MAF. God calls the men and women of MAF to serve Him in unique ways. He may also be calling you to a special role in Kevin and Rachel’s ministry. Please prayerfully consider becoming a ministry partner with them through prayer and/or financial support.
