Daniel and Kacy Bristol

Daniel and Kacy Bristol, along with their daughter Veda, serve the Lord as missionaries through Mission Aviation Fellowship in Indonesia. Daniel’s role as a pilot/mechanic is to provide flights to the isolated regions of Papua in support of God’s work. His plane may be loaded with missionaries, pastors, teachers or nurses and the necessary equipment to keep them supplied. Whether it is assisting with a medical evacuation flight or a supplies transfer, Daniel can use these opportunities to share Christ’s love with the isolated people he encounters. Kacy focuses on creating a warm and inviting home for their family and the community, while raising their daughter Veda.

Daniel grew up in Niceville, Florida, and was encouraged in his relationship with Christ by his parents. Missionary aviation came to his attention after hearing the needs of a Bible translating family in Indonesia who were dependent on missionary pilots to transport them to and from their remote village. It was at that moment that Daniel realized he could use his fascination with airplanes to serve the Lord.

After his interest in missionary aviation was piqued, Daniel went on mission trips to Indonesia and Haiti, in addition to a vision trip with Kacy to Papua New Guinea. He dedicated 10 years to prepare for serving overseas as a missionary pilot and mechanic. Having earned his pilot’s license by the age of 19, he went on to work as a nurse to pay for his flight training. After obtaining his commercial license at LeTourneau University, Daniel finished up his aircraft mechanic training at Texas State Technical College in Waco.

Kacy is a born and raised Texan from Longview, Texas. She came to know Christ at a young age through her parents’ dedication to raise her to know the Lord. She graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2012 with a master’s degree in accounting.

The Lord has affirmed Kacy in her primary role as a wife and mother. She enjoys using her gifts to bless not only her family but also her community.

Daniel and Kacy met at church in Longview, Texas. After seeking the Lord’s guidance, they both felt He was leading them to a life together in missions. Since their marriage in 2014, Daniel and Kacy have prepared for their calling to serve in Indonesia. In 2018, they welcomed their daughter Veda into their family.
