Tim and Mallory Brooks are eager to be a part of Mission Aviation Fellowship as missionaries to Indonesia. They look forward to fulfilling the Lord’s calling on their lives to share God’s love with others. Tim will continue to use his gifts as an aircraft mechanic to help maintain MAF’s aircraft. Mallory is excited to support Tim and find ways to serve.
Tim was born in Salem, Oregon, and was raised with his four siblings in Dallas, Oregon. He became a Christian early in his life, but he found a faith of his own when he was thirteen. Tim developed a passion for aviation in his early teens. He took his first mission trip a few years later and by the time he was seventeen, Tim knew that his calling involved missions and aviation. Tim spent the next fifteen years preparing to serve on the mission field by attending Prairie Bible College and Portland Community College, as well as paying off school debt. Tim has now served with MAF in Indonesia for his first four-year term.
Mallory was born and raised in the Louisville, Kentucky area. She became a Christian at the age of ten at her home church. She grew up hearing about missions, but never considered that she could play a direct role and serve overseas until she was seventeen. Soon after that, she decided to study education in college, intending to use those skills on the mission field in the future. After one year of teaching in Kentucky, Mallory arrived in Southeast Asia and spent the next six years teaching missionaries’ kids. She is now excited to serve overseas with Tim and MAF.
Tim and Mallory were both on the mission field in different countries when they were introduced by a mutual friend and began a long-distance relationship. In March of 2018, Tim surprised Mallory by visiting and proposing to her in SE Asia. She said yes, and they were married in October 2018 and were blessed with their daughter, Penelope, in October 2019.
Tim and Mallory are looking forward to seeing how the Lord will use them together in the years to come. They are currently focusing on learning the Indonesian language before moving to Papua, Indonesia, to serve.
MAF missionaries raise support for a pooled fund out of which MAF covers salary, housing, benefits, and staff-related ministry expenses. MAF exercises discretion over the use of missionary support in the exercise of its mission and care of its staff.
