Mike and Christy Brown are missionaries with Mission Aviation Fellowship serving at the Sentani base in Papua, Indonesia. They share, “It has been our privilege to serve mission organizations, national churches, and the people of Papua for over 24 years now. Using aviation to help those involved in Searching for new disciples, Supporting existing followers and disciple-makers, Serving people’s core needs, and Strengthening the talent and capacity of our national staff are some of the main things we get to be about here in Papua.”
Mike has been the Program Director of the MAF Papua Program since 2013. While he does continue to fly about 250 hours a year, he is also responsible to oversee the MAF Papua Program, which includes MAF staff care, base managers, and the finances/budget of the program.
They have raised 3 children in Papua who are now all in the U.S. pursuing various education programs. Christy continues to invest in the MAF family life through hospitality and overseeing our several-room Guesthouse in Sentani. She looks forward to seeing what else the Lord might have in store for her as far as ministry and life after kids.
God calls the men and women of MAF to serve Him in unique ways. He may also be calling you to a special role in the Browns’ ministry. Please prayerfully consider becoming a Ministry Partner with them through prayer and/or financial support.
MAF missionaries raise support for a pooled fund out of which MAF covers salary, housing, benefits, and staff-related ministry expenses. MAF exercises discretion over the use of missionary support in the exercise of its mission and care of its staff.
