MAF missionaries raise support for a pooled fund out of which MAF covers salary, housing, benefits, and staff-related ministry expenses. MAF exercises discretion over the use of missionary support to carry out its mission and care for its staff.

Roger and Barbara Clark and their children, Carol, Thomas, and Robert, are missionaries with Mission Aviation Fellowship serving at the headquarters in Nampa, ID.  The Clarks spent 15 years in Africa and are now continuing their service in the US.

As an aircraft mechanic based at MAF’s headquarters, Roger is honored to provide consistent, high-quality aircraft maintenance on airplanes that are used for training our pilots, as well as on those destined for other MAF programs around the world.

1 John 3:18-20 are special verses for Roger.  “Dear children, let us not live with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in His presence whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and He knows everything.”

Barbara shares, “As we minister and share our lives with friends and coworkers, I hope they will see the great things that God is doing through MAF’s ministry and how blessed we feel to be a part of that. I hope that the people we come in contact with will see how great God is and how much He loves them. My constant goal is to live in the present, in His presence, and to not regret things of the past or worry about things of the future.”

Psalm 115:1 encourages Barbara in this goal. “Not to us, Lord, not to us, but to Your name be the glory because of Your love and faithfulness.

Roger was born in Southern California, and his mother led him to the Lord when he was six. He attended Community College in San Luis Obispo, CA, and Bible school in Cannon Beach, OR. He received a B.S. in Aviation Maintenance at Moody Bible Institute and holds an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.

Barbara was born in Boulder, CO. During her sophomore year in high school, she attended Campus Crusade for Christ’s Student Venture. She filled out a comment card stating she wanted more information and was led to the Lord a month later by one of their representatives. Barbara also attended Bible school in Cannon Beach, OR. Before she became a mother, she worked in publishing and at a Christian bookstore.

Roger and Barbara met as summer staff at Mount Hermon Christian Conference Center in California. They were married in June 1991.

God calls the men and women of MAF to serve Him in unique ways. He may also be calling you to a special role in Roger and Barbara’s ministry. Please prayerfully consider becoming a Ministry Partner with them through prayer and/or financial support.
