Daniella Brown

Daniella Brown is a short-term missionary teacher with Mission Aviation Fellowship assigned to teach at Hillcrest School in Papua, Indonesia.

Daniella’s first ride with MAF was when she was 3 months old.  The destination was the village of Palimi-U in Northern Brazil where her parents would become a part of a team that offered health care, native language education, and Bible teaching to the Yanomami people.  Over the next seventeen years that Daniella lived in Palimi-U, she witnessed Christ’s Good News fill those who accepted it with peace and hope. While still very young she believed that Jesus had risen from the dead and acknowledged that He was Lord of her life.  Seeing clearly the contrast between the emptiness and suffering of life without God and the fulfillment and joy of life with Christ, she committed her life to serving God with every talent He had given her.

After finishing high school, Daniella moved to the United States where she completed a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a master’s degree in Teaching at Wheaton College in Illinois. She then worked as a teacher with the Russian School of Mathematics and the Christian Heritage School, both in Connecticut.  Daniella is very grateful for these vibrant academic environments that have challenged her to constant growth and refinement.

Now Daniella is excited to use her international experiences and skills as a teacher with MAF at Hillcrest International School in Sentani, Papua, Indonesia.  At Hillcrest she will teach middle and high school math, enabling MAF families to continue to serve isolated people groups. Her deep desire is to bless each person she encounters with the blessings God has lavished on her. Daniella prays that each of her students will “taste and see that the Lord is good” and be “rooted and established in love.”  She also prays for opportunities to encourage the Church in Indonesia. She is privileged to join MAF’s outstanding ministry and looks forward to future airplane rides.
