MAF missionaries raise support for a pooled fund out of which MAF covers salary, housing, benefits, and staff-related ministry expenses. MAF exercises discretion over the use of missionary support in the exercise of its mission and care of its staff.
Joel and Kiley Driscoll are thrilled to be a part of MAF’s ministry by serving and loving the people of Kalimantan, Indonesia. As a pilot and an aircraft mechanic, Joel will use his skills as an aviator to share the hope of Christ with people who need to hear about His love. Kiley is excited to continue her role as a mom and support the family, while contributing to the ministry in other ways like writing and administrative tasks. Together, they hope to be the hands of Christ’s love and the voice of His gospel to everyone they meet.
Joel was born in California but was raised in Japan, where his parents have been in ministry for the last 25 years. From a young age, he was impacted by his parents’ passion for sharing the gospel and felt a strong calling from the Lord to be involved with overseas ministry someday. It wasn’t until high school that he was exposed to the world of missionary aviation and knew that God could use his passion for flying and his desire to tell people about Jesus by becoming a missionary pilot. He graduated with a degree in Missionary Aviation Technology from Moody Bible Institute in 2019.
Kiley grew up in Chico, California, and was led to the Lord by her parents when she was a child. As she grew up, she went on many missions’ trips with her church to places like Guatemala, Mexico, and Costa Rica to serve in a variety of ministries. She committed her life to full-time missions at an Urbana conference in 2012. Kiley went on to join Joel at Moody Bible Institute and graduated in 2018 with a degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).
During furlough when Joel was ten years old, his family moved across the street from Kiley’s family in Chico, CA. They had a great friendship through junior high and high school, serving and spending time with their friends at church. It wasn’t until Joel started college that they became more than friends, and they were married two years later in the summer of 2015. In 2018 they had their precious son, Carson, and their sweet daughter, Eliana, was born in 2021.
The Driscoll Team is excited to serve the Lord through MAF and are thankful to be a part of sharing His love in Indonesia. Please pray for their family, their ministry, and for the people of Indonesia to experience the full love and joy of knowing Jesus Christ!
God calls the men and women of MAF to serve Him in unique ways. He may also be calling you to a special role in Joel and Kiley’s ministry. Please prayerfully consider becoming a ministry partner with them through prayer and/or financial support.
