Lance and Jessica are excited to take part in the Great Commission by serving as missionaries with Mission Aviation Fellowship. As a pilot/mechanic, Lance will use aviation to spread the Gospel to isolated people through aviation. Jessica desires to have a ministry with women and children.
Lance was raised as a missionary kid in Brazil, and at the age of six he accepted Christ. By seeing the ministry of his parents and the need for the Gospel, he knew he wanted to go into missions at the age of ten. He’s always had a passion for aviation and the Gospel and at the age of eighteen through the encouragement of his parents, he committed to going to Moody Bible Institute. He graduated in 2018 with a degree in mission aviation technology.
Jessica was born and raised as a missionary kid in Brazil. Jessica’s mom led her to accept Christ when she was four years old. She has known about missions all her life since her parents are Bible translators with Wycliffe. She was drawn to missions by observing the ministry of her parents. Jessica graduated from Moody Bible Institute with an associate degree in biblical studies in December 2013. For the last few years, she worked to pay the bills so that Lance could focus full-time on his studies at Moody.
Lance and Jessica are high school sweethearts who met at a New Tribes school. They soon realized they both had a heart for the Lord and wanted to serve in missions. They were married in December of 2014.
Jessica and Lance chose MAF because they believe in reaching isolated people with the Gospel. The Kanagys are excited to take part in serving the Lord through the tool that MAF has been to other missions and church leaders.
