Kevin and Beth Lynne share a passion to share God’s love and His redemptive plan with those who live in the most remote areas of Papua, Indonesia. Kevin and Beth’s service with MAF has enabled them to support the missionaries and churches working in Indonesia for 19 years.
Kevin has a passion for flying and currently manages the Wamena Base which serves missionaries, national church workers, and medical needs for people, especially in the central highlands of Papua where access for many is still difficult. He considers it a high honor to be part of the evangelical work in Papua. Kevin desires to let God work through him to spur on staff and coworkers to “stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” (ICor. 15:58)
Beth has a passion for home management, cooking, and interior decorating. She loves her ministry of hospitality and creating opportunities for meaningful conversations and encouragement to care for the people she’s grown to love. Philippians 4:13 encourages her that she “can do all things through Him.” Beth desires that God be glorified in all her relationships.
Kevin was born in Lemoore, CA, and his family served with MAF in Irian Jaya (now Papua), Indonesia. Kevin graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, with his B.S. in Political Science. Kevin has served as a Navy SAR helicopter pilot and Flight Instructor. Though he accepted Christ at age 6, it was as an adult that real spiritual growth began while he was a helicopter pilot in the Navy. During those years he attended a mission conference and realized God was calling him personally to be engaged in the Great Commission and go as a missionary himself. He received his Biblical and aircraft maintenance licenses at LeTourneau University in Longview, TX. His several aviation licenses include a Commercial Pilot License, ASEL, MEL, and A&P.
Beth was born in Manheim, PA, and received Christ when she was 8 years old, as she longed to have the assurance of salvation her parents and siblings had. A Godly heritage of many generations in her family impacted her life and led her into missions. After two short-term missions experiences, she has lived the past 24 years in Papua, Indonesia. Beth served ten years with her first husband and their five children as a pilot family in Papua until his fatal aircraft accident in 2008. Six months later, she met Kevin, who was serving with MAF in a different area of Papua. After praying and waiting for God’s leading, they married in 2010 and now serve together in Papua. All five of their adult children are now married and pursuing ministries of their own.
God calls the men and women of MAF to serve Him in unique ways. He may also be calling you to a special role in the Lynnes’ ministry. Please prayerfully consider becoming a Ministry Partner with them through prayer and/or financial support.
MAF missionaries raise support for a pooled fund out of which MAF covers salary, housing, benefits, and staff-related ministry expenses. MAF exercises discretion over the use of missionary support in the exercise of its mission and care of its staff.
