Dick has been serving as the Director of Maintenance for the MAF Indonesia region. Looking back over the past term of service, they are so grateful for God’s loving presence as Dick worked on the Operations Team in the leadership of the aircraft Maintenance in the region. This has included managing the transition to a revised aviation structure under the Indonesian civil air authority. Dick has also been part of researching and testing an aircraft maintenance software program which promises to improve maintenance and parts tracking for the long term.
Colossians 1:15-17 says, “The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” Dick refers to this scripture often because it grounds him and serves as a reminder that regardless of his circumstances, God “holds it all together.”
Mary devotes most of her time to the care of their family, but has also served as MAF’s representative to the Hillcrest School Board. “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13. Mary finds that this verse has encouraged her to live every day exhibiting that joy and peace which faith provides.

God calls the men and women of MAF to serve Him in unique ways. He may also be calling you to a special role in Dick and Mary’s ministry. Please prayerfully consider becoming a ministry partner with them through prayer and/or financial support.
MAF missionaries raise support for a pooled fund out of which MAF covers salary, housing, benefits, and staff-related ministry expenses. MAF exercises discretion over the use of missionary support in the exercise of its mission and care of its staff.
