April 30 – May 7, 2012

Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling…
—2 Corinthians 5:1-2 (NIV, 1984)

Priorities for Prayer

Mission Aviation Fellowship is grateful for the many friends who pray daily for this ministry. Thank you for your faithful intercession!

  • Monday, April 30
Please lift up the 30-some participants in the Bible Storytelling workshop in southern Costa Rica that concluded this weekend. Pray that they will effectively use their new skills to share the Gospel and bear much fruit!
  • Tuesday, May 1
Please lift up Mike Birdsong and his wife Linda. Mike is MAF’s benefits manager serving in Nampa, Idaho. Mike recently battled cancer and asks prayers for a positive result to an upcoming CT scan.
  • Wednesday, May 2
The learning lab in the La Carpio slum of San Jose, Costa Rica, is now offering courses in computer basics to adults, taught by a retired air force man living in Costa Rica and attending a local church. Please pray for the students, as they have a vast range of differing skills, which could make both teaching and learning challenging.
  • Thursday, May 3
There is currently a lot of political instability in Papua New Guinea, where MAF-International operates a flight program. Please pray for peace, and that national elections planned for later in the year will take place on schedule.
  • Friday, May 4
Please pray that MAF supporters and staff members alike will be blessed by fellowshipping together today in Texas.
  • Saturday, May 5
The MAF program in Papua, Indonesia, recently delivered three tons of school books to Illaga to replace the ones that were destroyed in the tribal warfare there. Please thank the Lord for His provision and pray for peace in this region.
  • Sunday, May 6
Praise God for our generous supporters, including a friend from California who recently donated a Beechcraft 35-B33 aircraft!
