By this everyone will know that you are My disciples,
if you have love and unselfish concern for one another.

  • Monday, September 18

Lord God, help us to love one another unselfishly. Fill us with Your loving-kindness today. Our hearts go out to those whose lives are in shambles from storms of every kind.

  • Tuesday, September 19

MAF disaster response staff are on the ground in St. Maarten, an island nation in the Caribbean that has been devastated by Hurricane Irma. They are assessing the situation to determine how MAF can use our aviation and communication services to best help those in need. An airplane from MAF-Suriname is headed to St. Maarten to join the relief efforts aiding islands in the area.

  • Wednesday, September 20

Pray for new missionary staff and their families who are working on ministry partnership (putting together their support teams before leaving for their overseas assignment) and those who are doing language study. It can feel like a steep climb at times (like photo on the left) and it’s tough work.

  • Thursday, September 21

Pray for John Boyd, who has served as CEO and president of MAF-US for 10 years. Pray also for the president search committee as they look for the right person to take John’s place as he steps down from this role in the coming days. John and Tanya confirm that, “The most rewarding aspect of our ministry is helping lead MAF and seeing individuals and communities transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and meeting the daily needs of suffering people.”

  • Friday, September 22

Pray for the injured and critically ill passengers MAF flies to medical care today. May they be healed completely by the loving touch of the Savior.

  • Saturday, September 23

Lift up Daniel and Kacy Bristol, a pilot/mechanic family who recently joined MAF and who will be serving in Papua, Indonesia. Pray for them as they find their ministry partners who will pray and financially support their work. Click here to go to their prayer letter.

  • Sunday, September 24

Last week MAF Uganda was able to fly Flame International into Moyo, where many large refugee camps are located. Lift up them up as they reach out with Christ’s love to refugees who feel hopeless and encourage new believers.
