October 21 – 27, 2013

Mission Aviation Fellowship Day of Prayer is on October 23. Post a prayer on the prayer wall so the MAF staff can join you in your prayer request.

Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it? — Isaiah 43:18-19 (The Message)

“Pray as though everything depended on God. Work as though everything depended on you.” — Saint Augustine

Priorities for Prayer

  • Monday, October 21
Many people have been displaced by violence in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Pray for them and all those in the village of Nyankunde, including MAF staff, who are trying to provide for their needs. Pray for food, medical aid, and other needed items.
  • Tuesday, October 22
Praise God for the recent Christian camp sponsored by Ecuador Para Cristo. Young people came from many surrounding villages, and many MAF flights were made to move people and supplies. Praise God for all the lives that have been impacted by the Gospel.
  • Wednesday, October 23
Today is MAF’s Worldwide Day of Prayer. Please join us in praising God for his mercy, grace, and majesty.
  • Thursday, October 24
Pray for new MAF missionaries who are in the process of raising prayer and financial support, travelling thousands of miles across the USA making contact with potential supporters. Pray for safety as they travel.
  • Friday, October 25
Pray today for MKs (missionary kids) who have come back to the U.S. to attend college while the rest of the family is still serving overseas.
  • Saturday, October 26
Please pray for MAF missionaries who are serving with MAF affiliate programs in Latin America. Ask the Lord to give them effectiveness in their ministries so that many will experience the love of Jesus and find salvation.
  • Sunday, October 27
Give thanks for Sabato, a Congolese man who has joined the MAF team in eastern DRC to serve as IT technician. Pray that he will be effective in this ministry and a blessing to the clients for whom MAF provides IT services.
