History

Serving together since 1945

After World War II, a few veteran pilots in the US and UK dreamed of a way they could use their flying skills to reach isolated people with the gospel. They founded MAF a few years later, and for more than 75 years now men and women have been using aviation to share Christ’s love in the most remote places on earth. Learn about some of our earliest pilots, including Betty Greene, who conducted MAF’s inaugural flight; and Nate Saint. They both appear in the vintage footage above.
