Advent Extras

CARD HOLDERS

Several members of our Advent creative team made the trek to High Valley (here in Idaho) to procure wood for this year's cardholder.

From there, a handful of volunteers took the tree limbs and made our vision come to life.

We are SO thankful to those who pitched in on this project. Take a look!

CANDLE

Your candle was hand-poured to help support MAF flights for children from the village of Pogapa in Papua, Indonesia, as they travel from their school in Sentani (Papua Hope School) back home during school breaks to stay connected to their families and home culture.

Check out this video to watch a special thank you all the way from Indonesia!

CARDS

These cards were made by Gilson, a Mozambican believer who uses banana leaves and traditional cloth in his creations. He started making the cards as a 12-year-old with his brother to help provide for their family.

He is now an art teacher and father of seven. The details are incredible, as you'll hear about in this video.

ORNAMENT

Your ornament was handcrafted by students in South Kalimantan, Indonesia, using traditional beading techniques. The students, many of them coming from unbelieving homes, live in a dorm with a Christian couple.

COASTER

Each wool and mohair coaster was handmade by a Basotho woman in Lesotho, a mountainous land-locked country in southern Africa. Many rural people in Lesotho derive their livelihoods from the production of wool and mohair.

Two of our Advent creative teammates visited Lesotho over the summer and hand carried the coasters back to the U.S. They've included a video message for you.
