A Day to Pray

MAF Worldwide Day of Prayer October 23This Wednesday MAF will observe its semi-annual Worldwide Day of Prayer. In April and October of each year, MAF staff from around the globe pause to pray.

We praise God for who He is … for His love, his mercy, his majesty. We give thanks for the life and death of Jesus Christ that washes away our sins.

We pray for the lost and hurting in the remote corners of the world. We lift up our co-laborers in Christ—the many churches, missionaries, and aid workers MAF serves. We pray for peace, for a cessation of hostilities, for a halt to the hurt and ugliness so prevalent in the kingdoms of men.

We lift up each other, praying for MAF missionaries around the world. We pray for safety, for joy in our work, and for effectiveness in our ministry. We pray that our missionary children (MKs) will grow into Godly men and women who will seek His will in all they do.

We pray to the Lord of the Harvest, that He will send more workers into the field.

And we pray for you, the friends and supporters of MAF. May God bless you for your faithfulness and give you a heart to serve. May you be filled with the peace that passes all understanding.

Will you please join us in prayer on Wednesday, October 23?

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”
—Ephesians 6:18
