For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.
-Zephaniah 3:17 (NLT)

Monday, August 6
Lord God, thank You for Your vibrant life present among us, mighty Savior! You lovingly calm our fears and gladly delight in each one of us. You even sing over us with joy. Wow!

Tuesday, August 7
Three of the five vice presidents of MAF-US and their families are adjusting to their new roles and setting up their homes in Idaho. Pray for an extra measure of God’s wisdom, grace, and provision during this time of transition.

Wednesday, August 8
Praise God that several MAF wives in Wamena, Papua, Indonesia, were able to help two Bible Translators with housing while they record God’s Word in the Baliem Dani language. Pray that their translation work continues unhindered.

Thursday, August 9
Lift up Daniel and Becky Perez, a pilot/mechanic family serving with MAF in Papua, Indonesia. Pray for Daniel as he balances flying with managing the team in Wamena, especially during this summer when the staff numbers are low. Pray also that their support shortfall will be met.

Friday, August 3
Pray for a timely completion of the new floor installation for the MAF Uganda hangar. Praise God for this good improvement.

Saturday, August 10
Lift up David and Ashley Petersen, a pilot/mechanic family serving in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). While David is doing MAF flights, Ashley is starting a Christian community development program to curb the cycles of malnutrition and poverty. Pray for the needed funding for fencing, a rototiller, animal barn, and training room on the land that God has provided next to their home. Donations can be sent to fund 4041-EDRC Comm Development.

Sunday, August 11
Pray for the MAF staff and their families who serve in restricted-access countries around the world. Because of security concerns, specifics need to be unspoken, but please pray for spiritual encouragement, strength, resilience, daily quiet time in the Word, and increased faith as they minister in difficult places.
