February 10 – 16, 2014

“All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us.” — 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (The Message)

“We are debtors to every man to give him the gospel in the same measure in which we have received it.” — P.F. Bresee

Priorities for Prayer

  • Monday, February 10
Pray for missionary families that have come home for furlough. Pray that they will enjoy rest and time with family while connecting with members of their support teams.
  • Tuesday, February 11
Please lift up Robby and Carol Matthews. Robby is an aircraft maintenance specialist “on-loan” to Moody Aviation in Spokane, Washington, where he is helping train the next generation of missionary aviators. Learn more about the Matthews at www.maf.org/matthews.
  • Wednesday, February 12
While MAF’s disaster relief work in the Philippines is now complete, please continue to pray for the families who are rebuilding their lives after the storm
  • Thursday, February 13
God calls people to serve in many different capacities. Please pray for Kevin and Kim Mills who serve as dorm parents at Hillcrest International School in Indonesia. They fill the role of mom and dad for children whose parents serve as missionaries in other parts of the country. Learn more about the Mills at www.maf.org/mills.
  • Friday, February 14
Remember to pray for MAF staff in Lesotho, a land crippled by poverty, famine and HIV/AIDS. Last year alone MAF pilots executed 2,964 flights in Lesotho, transported 5,503 passengers, and delivered 215,562 pounds of cargo.
  • Saturday, February 15
MAF pilots don’t really know from one minute to the next what they will be facing. Some flights are joyous and positive, others are tragic and difficult. Pray for the pilots today, that God’s Holy Spirit will protect them and prepare them for whatever is coming next.
  • Sunday, February 16
Pray that all MAF staff will be image bearers of the Father. Ask the Lord to make their lives and witness a blessing to the people they serve.
