“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.” — Isaiah 40:28 (NIV 1984)

“Sometimes God allows what he hates to accomplish what he loves.” — Joni Eareckson Tada, The God I Love

Priorities for Prayer

  • Monday, February 3
Thank God for the new MAF missionary families that have completed candidacy class and just received their first mission assignment. Pray that this will be the beginning of a lifetime of service for the Kingdom of God. Pray for Eric & Hannah Bell, Phil & Jessica Vana, and Grady & Holly Nace.
  • Tuesday, February 4
Praise God today for the fact that He really does respond to your prayers for missionaries. Your prayer support is invaluable, but it is also indispensable because God is attentive to our pleas and petitions.
  • Wednesday, February 5
Pray for young missionary kids (MKs). Sometimes moving, adjusting to a new culture, and having new people around the house can be challenging.
  • Thursday, February 6
MAF is committed to making sure our missionary children receive a quality education overseas. Pray for teacher Mary Kay Kolb and her husband, Roger, who are going to Indonesia as short-term missionaries. She will teach special needs children and he will do avionics and IT work. Learn more about their ministry at www.maf.org/kolb.
  • Friday, February 7
MAF serves in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo where there is considerable unrest and violence. Please take a minute to pray for those who may be living right now in the jungles after fleeing from their homes, not knowing how or when they will be able to return.
  • Saturday, February 8
Overseas missionaries often deal with burdensome regulations and unexpected fees. Pray that MAF personnel will have the wisdom they need to deal graciously with these situations and that people will see Jesus shining through.
  • Sunday, February 9
Member Care is a special ministry within MAF designed to provide spiritual and emotional support for MAF missionary staff. Based at MAF headquarters in Idaho, Doug and Ruth Harrison lead this vital support team. Pray that their ministry will be a great source of encouragement and blessing to those who are serving around the world. Learn more about their ministry at www.maf.org/harrison.
