Priorities for Prayer

  • Monday, July 4

Today, on America’s birthday, many are thinking about the meaning of independence. Conversely, let’s pray that we all learn to trust the Lord more deeply and submit to each other, because that honors Christ.

  • Tuesday, July 5

Pray for Gene and Lynn Jordan who have been a part of MAF since 1977, filling a variety of roles, including pilot/mechanic/program manager in Ecuador, and regional manager for Latin America. Currently, Gene serves as the vice president of Human Resources. Lynn is an elementary school teacher to Spanish-speaking children in Nampa, Idaho.

  • Wednesday, July 6

Praise God that He enabled MAF pilot Dallas Derksen to transport several patients for medical care in Mongolia recently. The patients included three mothers carrying infants needing medical attention, a man battling cancer, and an elderly woman who was unable to walk. Please pray for their physical and spiritual healing.

  • Thursday, July 7

Praise God for Adri vanGeffen’s willingness to step into the CEO role of MAF Germany. Pray for him as he juggles his new responsibilities along with leading the MAF Netherlands team.

  • Friday, July 8

Please pray for safety and security for MAF staff in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Upcoming elections typically bring a time of instability and unrest.

  • Saturday, July 9

Ask the Lord to strengthen marriages and interpersonal communication of MAF staff around the world.

  • Sunday, July 10

Please pray for Roy and Lientje Kidjo who have been serving in Papua, Indonesia, with MAF since 2003. As an IT specialist, Roy manages the VSAT communications network in Papua. Please pray that Lientje’s Suriname passport will finally be renewed, and for smooth processing of a visa to the US that will enable them to raise additional financial support.
