July 9 – 15, 2012

“Shout and be glad, O Daughter of Zion. For I am coming and I will live among you,” declares the Lord. “Many nations will be joined with the Lord in that day and will become my people. I will live among you and you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you.”
— Zechariah 2:10-11 (NIV, 1984)

Priorities for Prayer

Mission Aviation Fellowship is grateful for the many friends who pray daily for this ministry. Thank you for your faithful intercession!

  • Monday, July 9
The smoky season is beginning in Kalimantan. Pray for wisdom for the team as the air quality diminishes and for those flying the float plane as the river levels drop.
  • Tuesday, July 10
Please pray for the Australian Centre for Missionary Aviation (ACMA). ACMA provides theological, engineering and flight training for those called to technical mission work. It is based in Victoria, Australia.
  • Wednesday, July 11
Please pray for ACMA’s current students and for an increased number of both flight and engineering students for 2013. The need in the mission field is great and training is critical.
  • Thursday, July 12
MAF is holding candidacy and orientation classes in Nampa July 9-20. Please lift up the participants seeking the Lord’s will and preparing for service with MAF.
  • Friday, July 13
Pray for David and Nancy Burton who serve the Lord in western Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) along with two of their three children. Also lift up their son Josh, a college student who is working as a camp counselor this summer. Read more about the family at www.maf.org/burton.
  • Saturday, July 14
Jon and Cher Cadd have served with MAF in Africa for 29 years, and are currently based in Bunia, East DRC. Please remember this family in your prayers and praise God for their long-time commitment. Learn more at www.maf.org/cadd or captainsblogafrica.wordpress.com.
  • Sunday, July 15
MAF-International runs a maintenance facility and flight standardization program at Mareeba, Australia. The team of 16 staff provides heavy maintenance and logistics support for the Asia Pacific programs, engineering training, pilot standardization training and short-term relief to other programs. Please lift up this team and ask the Lord to bless their work.
