June 18 – June 24, 2018

A life devoted to things is a dead life, a stump; a God-shaped life is a flourishing tree.
-Proverbs 11:28 (MSG)

Monday, June 18
Lord God, help us not to put our trust in our material possessions, but to walk with You and sink our roots deep in Your love that causes us to flourish.

Tuesday, June 19
Praise God that the MAF team in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo continues to support the refugee camp in Bunia. Some of our national staff (seen here in this photo by Jon Cadd) have strong memories of their own experience in similar camps, and are sharing their testimonies and encouraging them.

Wednesday, June 20
Pray for the MAF alumni reunion as just over 100 participants travel to Nampa headquarters. May the Lord bless their time together and deepen their friendships for His glory. (Pictured is a previous alumni reunion in Nampa.)

Thursday, June 21
Lift up Emmanuel and Kahindo Mbodwam, a pilot/mechanic family serving in western Democratic Republic of the Congo. They have a fascinating heritage and tell of their personal journey to join MAF France and come on-loan with MAF-US. Read their bio page by clicking here. Pray for their whole family as they settle into their first term in Kinshasa.

Friday, June 22
Pray for the indigenous church members in Papua New Guinea (PNG) who recently were provided basic computer training by MAF Tech Services in PNG. May they use what they have learned for growth and discipleship in Christ.

Saturday, June 23
Lift up Dave and Linda McCleery, who have served the Lord in various roles with MAF since 1992. Dave’s experience as a missionary pilot and in MAF management has led him to his current role as MAF’s Latin America regional director, overseeing ministry bases in seven countries in Central and South America.

Sunday, June 24
Pray for a safe ferry flight for MAF’s first amphibious Kodiak, PK-MEE, as it is flown from Papua to its new base in Palangkaraya, hopefully around this date. Pray that this wonderful tool will be used in mighty ways to share the compassion of Jesus Christ in Kalimantan, Indonesia.
