June 5 – June 11, 2017

I will look favorably on this kind of person:
one who is humble, submissive in spirit,
and trembles at My word.

— Isaiah 66:2b (HCSB)

Priorities for Prayer

  • Monday, June 5

Pray for MAF families to serve with humble hearts, submitting to the Lord in all things. May we all tremble at God’s word and allow His words to permeate our deepest thoughts.

  • Tuesday, June 6

The West DRC program is having some paperwork delays for the PC12 in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Pray also for renewal of their aircraft mechanics’ licenses. Please ask God for favor with government officials.

  • Wednesday, June 7

Please pray for Myanmar and our partner ministry, Health and Hope, as they respond to the devastating cyclone that recently hit Lailenpi and Health and Hope’s facilities. The elders of Lailenpi (age 90+) are saying they have never seen anything like this before.

  • Thursday, June 8

Pray for the final authorization needed for MAF Mozambique to begin their flying doctor program in Niassa Reserve, in the northernmost part of the country.

  • Friday, June 9

Lift up Brad and Kristian Westom and their three daughters. Brad was a pilot/mechanic and program manager in Congo (DRC), Central African Republic, and Lesotho. Brad is now serving in Nampa, Idaho, as part of the MAF Member Care team. Kristian is teaching at a local high school. One of their daughters, Brianna, is currently on a missions trip to Rwanda. The other two daughters are in transitional years in high school and college.

  • Saturday, June 10

Pray that God will provide several aircraft maintenance specialists (A&Ps) as we have a huge need for them in several countries in which MAF serves.

  • Sunday, June 11

Summertime often leaves MAF programs short-staffed with lots of people on vacation or furlough. Pray for endurance for the staff who remain.US.
