October 7 – 13, 2013

Mission Aviation Fellowship Day of Prayer is on October 23. Post a prayer on the prayer wall so the MAF staff can join you in your prayer request.

The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles. — Psalm 34:17 (NIV 1984)

“No one is a firmer believer in the power of prayer than the devil; not that he practices it, but he suffers from it.” — Guy H. King

Priorities for Prayer

  • Monday, October 7
Give thanks for the strong relationship and collaboration of the MAF teams in East DRC and Uganda. It is such a blessing when God’s people work together.
  • Tuesday, October 8
Pray for the many refugees fleeing violence in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. Some 5,000 have arrived recently in Nyankunde, where MAF has a base.
  • Wednesday, October 9
Remember to pray for the MAF Ministry Partnership team as they support each and every missionary family serving overseas. These “coaches” provide training, guidance, encouragement and prayer support.
  • Thursday, October 10
Please pray for those folks who are being called of God to serve as MAF missionaries. Pray that God will make His call clear, and that these precious people will respond positively to that call.
  • Friday, October 11
Sometimes, when a missionary moves to the field and a different climate, the change can be a source of health challenges. Please pray for the health of our staff as they physically adjust.
  • Saturday, October 12
Pray for the MAF leadership team as they develop strategic plans for 2014. Pray for President John Boyd as he seeks the will of God for the future of this ministry.
  • Sunday, October 13
Lift up Mary Kay and Roger Kolb, who serve with MAF in Sentani, Papua, Indonesia. Mary Kay is a special education teacher at Hillcrest International School. Roger provides avionics and IT support. Learn more about their ministry at www.maf.org/kolb.
