The Word comes to the Logo

MAF celebrates with Bible translators in the DRC

Imagine what it must be like to hold the Bible in a language you can understand for the first time. Can you imagine what it would be like for Moses, David, Jesus, the Apostles, and so many amazing passages to leap off the pages and into your heart? It’s hard for us to understand this experience, because the Bible has been in the English language since the 1500’s, but there are still many parts of the world, like villages in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), where Scriptures are just now being translated for the very first time.

In March, MAF staff had the privilege of attending two out of three New Testament dedications in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). MAF played a key role in these translation projects, which took more than two decades to complete. Watch this video and celebrate with the Logo people as they receive the Bible in their heart language for the first time. And the Logo people were not the only ones impacted, these celebrations were also powerful for the MAF staff serving there.
